And hardly a word will be mentioned on the sports pages tomorrow.... some darlings have played 90 minutes of football.
Eddie Mercyx holds the tour record 34 stage wins... there are 6 more sprint stages this year, but it will depend how much the mountains take out of Cav's legs as to whether he has chance to close that gap further...
Yeah, 2014 crashed out on stage 1 just up the road from here (relatively speaking), then again in 2017. And for all that he chose to do it I would agree that Sky was a misstep for him career-wise, though he seemed to enjoy being some sort of super-domestique for the good of the team.
Cav's major problem was depression. He has taken a long time to get back from that. I remember a sprint finish fall he had in Leeds or Sheffield perhaps when going for a win when the tour visited here... Sorry Help, we were typing at the same time...

Just watched the sprint and I'm not sure what I'm more surprised at ! The fact he won or that he was lost for words . Top Guy
He must be Isle of Man's best ever sportsman? I mean it's hardly big enough for him to complete a sprint
I just watched the highlights of yesterday's stage and didn't know the outcome. Seeing MC win that sprint nearly gave me as much pleasure as seeing England beat the German's last night. To have the belief in himself and to come back after 2 or 3 difficult years and win a stage again is a remarkable achievement.
Can she be charged with 'being an idiot; under French law?' Seriously, I am interested in what the charge is. Hopefully a suitable deterrent, as it was only a matter of time before something serious happened (I'm sure you'll tell me incidents have occurred already?)
I was wondering that too. Has the feel of one of those where either nothing happens or something very draconian.
She's being charged with ‘deliberately violating safety regulations and so causing injuries that might prevent someone working for up to three months’, it carries a maximum one year in prison and/or a fine of up to £13k.
