Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is reluctant to pay a fee for players over the age of 27 which has resulted in talks with Southampton over signing Gabon midfielder Mario Lemina, who is 28 in September, hitting a stumbling block. (Mail)
Surprise, surprise! Smart cookie that Ashley bloke. Knows we need rid of & will play this to a probable free or virtual.
I am a little surprised by his move to Leicester as they have Justin and Castagna: will he play at all?!
Just a name to pop into the pot. I wouldn't be against us taking a look at Lukas Nmecha from Man City. German U21 striker who has been out on loan at Anderlecht last season. Quick, strong, skillful, and wouldn't be enormously expensive (or we could potentially take him on loan).
He will get a nice padded and heated seat on the touchline with an excellent view of the match and he gets paid to sit there. The seat is coloured blue, so slight downside of course.
Surely there will be other takers for Lemina for £5m I thought they may come in for him. Could be their new Capoue
