After a dodgy first 15, we've played quite well. Hardly a borefest Soups. Saka and Sterling have been good. Our main concern is central midfield, where Rice is all over the place at times and looking a little out of his depth. Good job Phillips is such a good player. Unfortunately, they're both on yellows which will hinder them, especially Phillips. Henderson or Mount should come on for Rice imo. Kane missed an absolute sitter at the end there. Can't work out what's wrong with him.
Kanes off the ball work is lazy at best. Doesnt look like a 10m player never mind 100m. Decent 1st half. If only Calvert lewin was on the bench.
1st half was decent, see they practically treble up on saka. This could go either way at present but no shame in that performance so far, barring Kane who just isnt with it at all.
We have the players to come on and win this from the bench. Hopefully Southgate won't wait till we're behind to bring them on.
I’m enjoying it. Tense, but as expected. England more threatening than Germany, but they are set up to play on the break. Dare we bring another creative player on?
Grealish/Foden for Rice? They have a bit more about them this half, bit worrying. Shaw and Trippier are pretty anonymous.
