Tight game, England grew into it. Still not creating enough and guilty of moving it to slowly. Overall happy enough with that. If we can get Kane involved more I think we can win this.
That was ok, although Maguires header was a big miss. Bit worried about both Central Midfielders on yellows though. Kane started to come into it at the end, Sterling (who hasn’t been bad tbf) ignored him Redmond style unfortunately in that final chance. Saka has played very well.
One of the DMs off for Henderson. Shame because I’d rather keep them both on, but we can’t have both DMs reluctant to make challenges due to the yellows.
Agree Henderson and Mount will probably be on at some point, we may lose fluency but both on yellows is a big risk.
Kane He has no confidence, he’s not moving and he’s slow ….. I know we keep saying it, but Danny would have gone for that chance with his left. We need a mobile striker to move the defence - currently we don’t have one. Saka doing ok, but drifted out of the game …. If only we had a player who could hit a dead ball into a dangerous area or go for goal with a free kick ….
We’ve definitely improved and need to get at them more Sterling and Kane leaves us two short too often and we don’t use their strengths. We need another ball carrier like Saka. As Shearer said we’ve got a lot of attacking talent, but it’s mainly on the bench We leave them enormous spaces in midfield at times We actually pressed we’ll a couple of times later on and we need to do more of that It’s in our street, but I’m not sure if it’ll make it home
Kane looks about 5kg overweight. Bit like me, really! Luke Shaw looks as if he is ready to participate for England in another sport as he looks quitc bulky. Just needs to work on his neck and he is a ready made hooker.
