All very quiet in Paris this evening. Anything that makes the slim chance England have of winning better, makes me happy.

The group of death is not proving to have been so strong after all. We just need to finish the job by beating Germany now.

    He's been, quite frankly, ****.

Two great games today though. Pogba thought it was all over with his pathetic dancing after his goal. As great a goal as it was, it was disrespectful. The French had the wrong mindset after going 3-1 up. And then Pogba gave the ball away for the Swiss's third goal and equaliser. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.

Still think Italy will be hard to beat.
With my family steeped in English history, l hope England for once over achieve and do a number on the Germans.

    Great news everyone!

I have just noticed that I have a work meeting that I have no option but to participate in which clashes with the first half an hour of the match this evening. The call is with people of nationalities who really won’t get the significance of the game, and anyway it’s been scheduled for weeks. It’s also one that I genuinely have to focus on.

Pretty much a guarantee that we will be 3 up (make that 5 given the events of last night) after 30 minutes and then in cruise control when I am able to give the game my full attention.

    Happy to be of service.

You may want to stay with your clients and tuck them into bed, thus ensuring a significant victory!

The last time a work related issue prevented me from seeing an important game was Bobby Zamora day.

    The omens are good.

Now off to slaughter a few chickens and read their entrails.

Well, well. England playing 3-4-3 tonight.

After "supporting" Scotland in two of their three matches in the group stages, I'm being rewarded by being told by my wife and my son that they are supporting Germany tonight - bastards! Hope we stuff them!

Due to work, I've missed both England victories, and only saw the 0-0 against Scotland - should I work late tonight....
