could say the same about minamino we could buy cheap and loan for a year to pay his wages etc then sell on? In the end we've 4 cbs but 3 retruning from injury and 1 really a crock plus a new signing whos a risk too. We want to sell phillips and williams aint up to it. A cheap kabak buy then out on loan in last august might be a very good move ,but'd just be to increase his value and pay for him.
Being shrewd with transfers is the one of very few ways we can stay competitive with the money clubs. I saw enough of kabak to see hes a very decent prospect, maybe not for the 18m first quoted but certainly worth a punt for 10 and that's without offloading nat for 15m, which is important here because imo kabak has more potential than Nat does so what you have there is a little profit and better & younger player on the books. Im beyond questioning who the club buy anymore because they seem to get it spot on for the majority, our only real expensive flop imo being naby kieta. Nat out for 15m Kabak in for 10m Fantastic business imo
I remember reading on holiday that we'd signed him and baulked at the price. In retrospect he was probably worth it.
It was him and Gini that were the major signings that got us back into the CL I think. And from there on the guy has gone from a decent prem player to when on form one of best in the world. Big dip last year but hopefully was just an off season and be back to his best next year.
