Spartak Moscow have been charged over the improper conduct of their supporters, whose actions during their final Champions League Group match brought about a 20-minute delay early in proceedings. http://www.lanarkgazette.co.uk/news/uefa_charges_for_spartak_and_zilina_1_415242 Does anyone think it's likely that UEFA will make them play their next european home game behind closed doors as punishment? It doesn't say when the disciplinary hearings are to be held. The reason I'm thinking is that at the moment the Europa League stands like this for us: Sparta Praha or Liverpool VS Basel or Spartak Moscow. If we beat Sparta and Moscow beat Basel it might be that the away game is played behind closed doors... I don't know how long these hearings take to come about but it's not beyond the realms of possibility...
I sincerely doubt it as it would effect our club too. More likey to be a hefty fine, but then again I'm not sure how UEFA work with their punishments.
I'm the same haven't got a clue how UEFA determine punishments... I'm sure like you said they wouldn't be able to to that due to the effect it would have on us... And I think Moscow's home ground has a capacity of something like 78 thou, that would be a lot of missed out money!
