girl dresses like a substitute teacher and has a horrific neck too. if Im gonna lose such a high position, im gonna do it for someone peng, ye know.
Like I've said he's a tool, but it's easy to forget we're human and I know what it's like making mistakes. I don't hate I chose to forgive unless it's something serious.
Well I do because he's in dark place and when the public get their pitch forks out they're overly ruthless in most circumstances. I mean I get he's been an idiot, but really all he's done is neck on with some bird at work. Plenty of the people will have done worse and got away with it and some of them will be on their high horse. I hate tories I hate everything they stand for and he deserves what he gets, but someone obviously grassed him up and I don't like that and ultimately I feel more sorry for his wife more than anyone else.
I think your compassion is commendable. There isn't enough compassion in the world and people are too quick to forget their own failings while judging others. However, as much as I agree with people getting second chances and being forgiven, that does rely on a few things. First, people need to be contrite and sorry for what they have done. Secondly, they also need to face up to the consequences of what they have done. The consequences don't go away. If all he had done was have an affair at work then personally I think that is between him and the others involved, and nobody else. There appears to be a lot more factors to this though. Was he already in a relationship with her (of any description) when she was appointed and was that relationship declared at the time? He also broke his own rules that he has imposed on others, which for some have meant not seeing loved ones for months on end. For some, sadly, it even meant not getting the chance to bid their final farewells. He has been shown to have not declared an interest in a company that profited from Covid contracts with public money. He has failed to show any sort of leadership or competence in his job. These are all things that he is not facing up to, and all things which are far more serious than just having an extramarital affair. He is not the only one who needs to be held accountable. I suspect he will be used as a scapegoat now he has gone and that lots of things that should be scrutinised will be buried with him. Accountability in government has been eroded for years and it is getting worse and worse.
