Maybe "for the future", but the focus at the club seems to be on bringing youngsters through................ https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/nine-promising-bluebirds-sign-contracts-ccs
Looks a positive strategy. If 2 or 3 of those make it into the first team, following Bagan, Sang and Colwill that is major progress and shows the club is looking good for the future. Home grown talent, not relying on expensive signings. I have to concede our friends down west set the trend for this but I'm pleased we have followed suit and not let them have the pick of the crop.
Here's one in then ....................... https://www.footballinsider247.com/cardiff-city-agree-to-sign-wolves-star-giles/
A step in the right direction. Given the frees and now a loan, MM must be saving the cash for a Marque signing.
More competition for midfield spots with these 2 signings and Colwill. Still waiting for that creative player which we so yearn for.
Haven't heard a lot, but hopefully not just sitting on the beach dreaming about his 17 grand a week for doing nothing next season. Being more charitable, he could be counselling Joey Barton on an anger management course.........
Got a job in quality control at Peter's Pies. Was feeling small in the land of giants so wanted to bulk up to impress Mick.
ttps://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/gareth-bale/club-after-summer-transfer-window So SkyBet and William Hill now have Cardiff City as favourites to land Gareth Bale at 3-1 and 2-1 respectively. Personally I cant see it happening but will Sparkey have a punt?
I don't bet............. Enjoy the odd flutter on City but only have an account with B365 and they haven't got a market for new managers/players. Anyway, after my impulsive 25 quid on Wales went down the pan last night , I'm giving it a rest until the new season. ................but like Arnie - I'll be back.
Would be incredible if it were to happen, even bigger than us signing Bellamy, but really can't see it. He's either staying at Madrid under Ancelotti if he's told he'll play a bit more or I reckon he's off to the US for one last big payday. Possibly in a year's time he'd consider coming home but until then, can't see it. He'd get kicked from pillar to post in the Championship anyhow and would probably end up on the treatment table more often than not.
I see the rumours get even more ludicrous now.... Apparently we're in the running for Rambo too if he leaves Juve The way this is going there'll be a shock news article linking us with a move for Zaha again if he leaves Palace and a change in management to a joint team of Jimmy-Floyd and Robbie Fowler!
