Reminded me of Playing the Rep of Ireland. As soon as they get in front there's 10 men defending, and Wales don't have the ability to break those defences down. It's very difficult for us against those types of sides. I think if we had got in front I'm not sure Denmark would have been able to get back into it either if we had done the same in terms of defence either.
Not sure we watched the same game! Denmark continued to attack at 1 nil. Then again at 2 nil... Etc etc... Total domination. Park the bus they did not, at any point.
Worst game ive seen in a while, didnt notice bale and ramsey most of the 60mins i wasted watching that ####
Every time we went forward I counted 10 Danish players in two lines right in front of their area. There was just no space. Yes they attacked when they had the chance, but the defence was rammed and we had no answer to it.
Apart from the first 15 Wales looked completely out of their depth on and off the pitch...the Danish boss saw his problems early changed the system and on to victory...Page didn’t or couldnt do anything to help Wales counteract the change and so are now out of the tournament...perhaps now is the time for the FAW in to make changes at the top bringing in a proven manager who can get these players up and running again....and not just a former player please....
…. well I’ve thrown out all our Lurpak, Carlsberg and Lego ….. and no Danish pastries for breakfast today …..
Just had posh Danish bacon and scrambled eggs.....lovely with tomato sauce....well Italy did the job eventually...
Seemed like a wasted tournament, playing without a manager. Once the Danes changed tactics we went from looking like a team that could win to a team that had no plan, energy, effort or tactics. I would have taken getting to this stage before the tournament but that game left me angry after the lack of these things. Ref was crap and should have stopped before second goal, but that error from Nico was so bad....
Now that I've calmed down ...... Indeed. Would have taken getting out of the group before the tournament started but going out in that fashion is so depressing. Anyway.... well we know Page is not anywhere near good enough to remain manager. Playing Moore for the sake of it with no strategy was pointless. Bale is a shadow of the Euro16 player. The fixture locations were/are a travesty - Wales travel 5000+ miles and Denmark 300+ with literally four home games, support wise. VAR is almost a lottery or just backing up the ref's decision. I think we'll struggle to qualify for the World Cup unless a decent manager is appointed.
I know Gunter has called the tournament format a joke already today, but the fact the games have been played all over Europe has ruined the football festival feel for me. What I love about the international tournaments is that all the action happens in one country. This tournament has just really felt like midweek Euro qualifiers. I hope this format is never used again.
