This thread should be entitled desperate old men as its not something that only happens to UK men. Judging by some of the relationships you see out here the Germans and Swiss fall in the same category. Often though its not a scam but a mutually satisfactory arrangement - the man gets a young wife who makes his life easier while she gets security and hopefully someone who will hopefully pop their clogs relatively quickly and leave them a large (to them) sum of money.

How do the likes of Hancock ever get to power in the first place when he makes so many mistakes in such an obvious way. It beggars belief.
And breached COVID rules that he was setting AND now breached security issues by using personal (non secure) email account for Government business. AND.... What next?
He should face criminal charges for the security stuff. That will be the real reason for his resignation.
True. But they didn’t help set them for everyone else. He’s no better than them and that means he shouldn’t hold the position he had.
But the public don't make policy. Hancock implemented policy and broke the rules yet expected everyone else to follow them.
Absolutely but I can still feel sorry for them.. It's just the way I am and it stems from making mistakes in my own life and I can't override it unless it's a really serious crime or something
