Wtf, how is that a red. Good job it doesn’t affect anything but just rubs salt into Welsh wounds. Soundly beaten by a very good Denmark side.
I'm very surprised that was given as a red. I'm very happy that was given as a red. I want to see entertaining, attacking football. If a defending player wants to foul an attacking player with zero attempt at playing the ball, I'm all for them walking off.
There's nothing in the rules to justify that as a red though. It wasn't dangerous. I remember Joe Ralls getting sent off for Cardiff for a challenge on Lucas Moura for something similar but worse - that was dangerous.
I never said there was. I said I'm happy to see reds for that. I'd gladly support a clear rule change.
Yes - I agree. A frustrated, late and cynical challenge, but not a red. I don’t understand why VAR didn’t review. 4-0 against Wales didn’t do them justice, but they were well beaten. Denmark much better team
Amazing fourth Danish goal. I agree with @st_brendy - there was no intention to play the ball he just kicked him. What if he injured the Danish player out of sheer spite.
Agreed. At the very least, I'd expect a really good game with goals. I did about 10 days ago that the world rankings would suggest an England v Denmark SF in the bottom half.
They’re looking very well-organised and they have some great players. Maehle and Damsgaard are filling the Eriksen gap admirably.
