I have no idea what the solution is Hancock going would be a start. He was very vocal in wanting that Professor advisor to the SAGE who resigned to be prosecuted by the police. You would have thought W*nkcok would have done the same and resigned. However you need a modicum of integrity to do that. Something that c*nt is sadly lacking.
No matter who's in power I don't really expect them to care, or be honest or have one set of rules for everyone ... ... but I do hope they'll pretend to care, appear honest and keep their rule breaking private. This current lot are so arrogant they can't even be bothered to manage that. They've tapped into the modern way of thinking whereby people actually admire grinning talentless chancers ... ... it's political X-Factor where 'being a character', with a big smile and fake sincerity, gets a standing ovation from the masses.
They must be laughing their tits off knowing most modern snowflakes will just come round to a few choice bullshit words and all is forgiven and forgotten the next day.
Boris Johnson, "Fred West has made an apology, which I've accepted, and now consider the matter closed. (Actually spoken by an aide, as the PM couldn't drag himself out of bed.)
Good post, and we are all victims of the system. If you have an environment where soundbite promises, designed to hook people's short term attention, gets you the opportunity to cash in for 5 years and secure your future afterwards,it's going to attract every ambitious,thick-skinned spiv who's only got their own interests at heart.True for the current lot and for whoever comes after..... as you say...all grinning, talentless chancers. Party politics is our curse.Career politicians, who want to oversee meaningful improvement in ordinary people's lives, are very thin on the ground. For the things that really matter to people......Health,Education,Employment,Housing and Security....there can only be a right and a wrong,it does not alter every 5 years. If Govt. is honest and takes advice from the intelligent people who work every day in the chosen sector, and you end up with two or three parties arguing,it can only be about how to pay for it,and if it's possible for the BoE to spend billions to shore up the financial system in 2008,after it was ****ed up by greedy banks, and then to provide the funds for the Treasury to fund the lockdown in 2020,why isn't it possible for them to fund proper,on-time healthcare, safe, warm and affordable housing, enough schools and properly qualified teachers to educate our kids, enough Police to keep us safe on our streets, enough incentive for enterprise to create full employment......all they mention is Govt.borrowing...but it's never going to be repaid........where is the galloping inflation that's supposed to happen when you flood the market with money?..........it's all a ****ing smokescreen,we're being duped! I remember both Blair and Cameron announcing how short term their staying in the job would be. When that happens, you know it's going to be attempts at short term fixes for long term problems.......cue lies and disaster, and more spivs. It's who looks good in front of the camera, people spinning their ****e,e.g. like Mandelson and Cummings,..who can **** Marr off without admitting to anything ,who gets the job! It's a PR story, not what you actually achieve to make people's lives better. The system is broken,is the problem.
Modern politicians have become experts in avoiding the answer and running the clock down in interviews. Hancock is typical of them and just ignores anything he doesn't feel like answering. We now how more 'catch phrases' than a lorry load of 70's comedians ... ... 'grab a jab' is just the latest of a sorry bunch. It's become laughingly blatant but no one seems to care.
Well,we seem to care mate. And,I know we're intelligent enough to understand what these people are doing, and not to be taken in by it! Lads from Leadgate and Medomsley aren't as daft as spivs might think!
But, but Brian... Jeremy Corbyn is an IRA terrorist and Kier Starmer was Jimmy Saville's solicitor. I know because I saw it on Facebook.
Bonko remember 2 years ago said he had a (oven) ready plan for elderly/social care. Blames covid for not bringing it forward?
I used to love the antics of Alan Beresford B'stard in The New Statesman. But these lot go above and beyond a comedy caricature, they make Rik Mayall's politician seem normal. They are truly beyond parody.
Shocking like these footballers going out with beautiful super models, film stars, come on we don't do that do we lol.
Well at least we know where Hancock got the idea for employing his aides please log in to view this image
I detest all the bastards dropping right down to the lowest two faced councillors if they all f ucked off for a year nothing would change and if it did it would probably be for the better.
