@DH called this weeks ago . Great news https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/202...itys-shirts-in-the-premier-league-next-season
Much rather walk round as an advert for sexy locally built sports cars than a foreign gambling website
Yes to this. If I buy a car based on advertising I know I am buying a car. If I place a bet based on advertising I know not what I might get. Gambling sites on footie shirts is so 1980s snooker n ***s.
I worked in the Gambling industry for 15 years and it can lead to addiction and ruin . The online versions are worse because they bombard you with offers and promotions trying to hook you in . I bet £5 on England to win the Euros at 7/1 with Ladbrokes who gave me £20 free bets . When I lose I'll log out and mark the emails as spam .
You have inside as you know the business. A close family member lost the plot w online gambling. Ordinarily a pragmatic bloke. Too easy to keep going with another bet or another company willing to take your credit...
Lotus used to have their showroom on the Sprowston Rd on the way to school. They would bring the latest model into the Blyth Jex site and some of us were lucky enough to be Bond for thirty seconds. I associate more with them than another betting company.
I have seen someone sit at a roulette table all day I have my 2 days off return to shift and the same person is in the same chair with the same clothes and no sleep 3 straight days 24/7. If you drink too much then eventually you pass out with gambling some just don't know when to quit .
Challenging, as in challenging to read? Felt really rambling and hard to follow for me. "Alex Pritchard could be the next Grant Holt" is a particularly tough sell at the end too.
You're right DH, as it seems to be a loose 'stream of consciousness' argument loosely bound together by some strange assumptions while comparing the present squad to the previous promotion winning squad. These include omitting Skipp and Buendia from the 'analysis' because 'they've gone'. Rashica and Gunn don't count because they weren't here last year. What did interest me was the suggestion that DF was considering a 'back 3' in 2019 but couldn't do it because of CB injuries. Ajer would have been a good addition because of his ability to play as a DM but we now have to look at other options. I'm not in favour of his idea of bringing Pritchard back, even on a free transfer. We need to keep developing the squad rather than looking to make do and mend.
What about sexy women advertising the gambling on your shirt? I think the Lotus partnership everyone wins. I wonder (hope) that means that even if we get a bit less money that we don't go down the gambling route again.
Compared to what passes as mainstream pop music videos with bouncy black women singing about their Wet Arse Pussies etc which is child friendly on YouTube the pictures on that 18 and over gambling site were relatively tame in my personal opinion. We have posters with more sexually suggestive avatars on here. My rule is if they have to make different shirts for children because of the sponsorship then it doesn't fit with our family club ethics. Although Woodford's brewery sponsor us and I don't have issues with that . Pass
Gotcha GE! I agree with Dunc that the adverts hardly constituted 'soft porn' as some described it. I can understand that it would be offensive to some, but the Lotus solution is a huge improvement and much more in line with the family club image. Trying to get your whole family into a Lotus might be a bit of a challenge though.
I'm excited about what Rashica might bring to our play, but he's not a like for like replacement for Buendia. His right foot is his principal threat and if he plays on the right even cutting in will limit his effectiveness. Will DF break from the past and change the formation to suit Milot's strengths? I hope so. It seems that we're committed to a double pivot in central midfield like McLean and Skipp last season, but where does that leave Rashica? In a 4-2-3-1 he could play as an AM/2nd striker behind Pukki with Dowell moving out to WR and Cantwell staying WL. The weakness in that would be Dowell's ability to help out the RB defensively. PL teams are very good at exploiting that sort of weakness, as we saw in the previous PL campaign. Much will depend on who else comes in and what options that gives DF.
What worries me about Rashica is his history of injury problems. We can't afford to bring in a top signing and have him spending a lot of time in the training room. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/verletzungen/spieler/291739
She is a Filipina Who, unfortunately, I do not know. But would very much like to. My wife is opposed to this idea.
Yes, he had a bad year for injuries last season but he doesn't have a history of injury problems so fingers crossed. The worst was a hamstring problem (41 days) and four of the others were minor, a week or less. That may have put off other suitors, but we got him for £8m +£1.4m in add ons. Considering that his Transfermarkt valuation is £8m, which would normally be at least doubled for a 24 year old, and the fact that £20-25m was being mooted a year ago SW clearly saw an opportunity that outweighs the risk. Let's hope he's right. On a more positive note: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/ncfc-signing-rashica-as-good-as-buendia-8084386
“Werder Bremen played a lot on the counter attack and he [Rashica] fit that style really, really well." (Dan O'Hagan). I'm waiting for a pig to fly past but all I've seen so far are birds ..........
