Do tell us where the science was in the statement that you made. It looked like a statistic, which I cannot be bothered to verify. Just like you are more likely to die in a traffic accident if you are under 60, therefore all motor vehicles should be abolished. Life always has the element of risk. We should accept that and get on with life. The problem at the moment is the no-vaxxers as they and the young (who have largely not been offered a jab) are the ones keeping lockdowns going. For the over 50s they are ahead of us in terms of double dose percentage. The article gives no details about the ages of the people in the new daily cases. They could be under 50s. Or they could be no-vaxxers over 50. Most likely they are Palestinians as the take up rate in the West Bank and Gaza is only 30 per cent. The usual vague detail-free BBC reporting.

Strangely enough, I bother to look at the scientific evidence. The vaccines that have been approved for use in this country (Britain) by the British regulator have all undergone the necessary clinical trials. The data resultant from those clinical trials has been scrutinised by people qualified to make an assessment and the vaccines cleared for use on the population. Half wits trying to conjure up any old explanation for so-called “long covid” clearly have no medical qualification whatsoever and are just brain dead conspiracy theorists, pursuing their agenda with vacuous statements that cannot be substantiated. Freedom of speech means that any old nonsense can be posted on here or any other social media platform (e.g. Facebook) but that does not give it any credibility. Freedom of speech does mean that I can point out this lack of credibility.
