    SPURS TEAM NEWS

Harry Redknapp will wait on the fitness of three players ahead of Sunday's clash at Newcastle.

Emmanuel Adebayor (hamstring), Sandro (calf) and Aaron Lennon (groin) are all rated 50-50 as we return to Premier League action at St James Park.

Vedran Corluka (foot) and Niko Kranjcar (thigh) are ruled out after picking up injuries in Croatia's win against Latvia on Tuesday night.

"Two or three of the lads will train with the medical staff and we'll have to wait and see how they are," reported Harry at Spurs Lodge on Friday.

"Adebayor had a hamstring problem, Sandro had a calf strain, Corluka's come back with a foot injury and Niko has tore a thigh muscle.

"Aaron has had a groin strain for four or five weeks now and is struggling a little, but he said he felt better yesterday (Thursday) and we'll see how he gets on."

Niko and Vedran join longer-term injuries Michael Dawson (Achilles), William Gallas (calf) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) on the sidelines.

Better news sees Steven Pienaar and Danny Rose back in training after injury.

I think Harry will go for this line-up on Sunday...

    Friedel

    Walker - Kaboul - King - Assou-Ekotto

Van der Vaart - Parker - Modric - Bale

    Defoe - Adebayor

If Adebayor is injured, Pavlyuchenko to take his place.

I certainly wouldnt boo him, and I cant imagine West Ham fans would considering how he performed for them.

Strong lineup that. I'm just glad we have the home advantage because I don't think we'll have got anything against that lineup at WHL.

Nothing much to add, just wanted to compliment the good quality debate and banter. Hopefully threads similar to this will be a feature of all our upcoming matches.

Agree, it's better with more fans from both sides, we've only really had a bit of banter with QPR and Sunderland prior to this game.

I'm getting rather excited now! Should be a great match and I really hope we can win. Would be such a boost and it would throw it right back in the pundits faces. We really need to prove ourselves against a top side.

It's set up to be a 'canny cracker' that's for sure. I hope Kyle Walker's wife has had their baby, or she can hang on for a couple of days, we need Kyle out there tomorrow.

A lot of people are worried about Bale, but we need to watch Walker on the overlap down the right. Very attacking RB that is getting better all the time. Jonas will be very important in tracking him.

I want to see Marveaux on the right, got two for the reserves recently and looks to have end product. Bring on Obertan for the last fifteen minutes.

St James Park always a tough place to go and our record there in recent times is not good. Spurs are stronger this season and provided Sandro, Parker and Adebayor are playing we could take the points, but NUFC are looking stronger too.

I'm going for a 1 - 1, trying to be realistic but you never know what will happen after these International breaks. Two out of three of our Croations injured what's going on there. <yikes>

Seems as good a place to post this as he was a great servant to both clubs - Chrissy Hughton's Birmingham are on BBC1 today against Sven's Leicester boys!

Come on Hoots, get yourself back up to the Premiership!

I'm still hoping Ryan Taylor won't be playing and Spurs only play 1 of Sandro/Parker and Pav starts.

Sandro and Adebayor are both 50/50 so you may be in luck, I expect one of them will start though, probably Sandro.

But then Parker drops to the bench and a playmaker will partner Sandro giving us a little more possession?
