So we're all ready for this one? Not sure I've a lot to say here tbh. Let's ****ing do this.

    Goosebumps at 2:25 ish

God bless Motty, could this be even better, and better, and better?

    Best. National anthem rendition. Ever.

We can even win penalties now.

    They think it's all over...

I know it was then, but it could be again...

As I've mentioned some famous commentary let's have one more line: Gareth Southgate, the whole of England is with you.

It's so difficult not to look ahead of this match. Winner of this tie gets to the final IMO. And Germany are very beatable. Can see ET and possibly pens TBH. Germany's main threats are their wing backs - Portugal couldn't handle them, Gosens in particular. Trippier will play in this one due to his defensive capabilities. One thing they do lack is a proper CF. Can't wait!

Not sure why everyone assumes either us or Germany, who have both been average at best, would just walk over the netherlands who won all 3 group games. Especially considering they had a harder group than us!

Just my opinion. Holland are good on their day but very inconsistent. And I'm not sure Ukraine, Austria and North Macedonia is a tougher group than Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland.

This is one of my favourite memories of being allowed to stay up late to watch Sportsnight on a schoolday. England completely outplayed West Germany inspired by wonderful midfield display by Alan Hudson who became my idol and who I tried to copy in the playground. Bally was also the Captain but after this Revie inexplicably dropped both of them, the twat.

    Just watched the '96 highlights.

I went mental when Shearer scored, my heart still missed a beat when Germany had that goal disallowed in extra time, I held my head in my hands at Gazza's slide. Then Southgate steps up to take the kick. "Maybe it will go in this time" I said to myself. It didn't. And I was gutted again.

I just feel we will exorcise those Demons.

Looking back on when we first met; I cannot escape and I cannot forget; Southgate, you’re the one; you still turn me on; and football’s coming home again.

“Hello is that Uber? I’d like to order a taxi”

“Ok sir, who for and where’s it going?”

    “Football. It’s coming home”

There will just be a begrudging acceptance that Germany are better at penalties than us, mostly because Danny and JWP weren't picked.

Whilst not wishing (much) to bang on about this, one radio pundit today said that the only chink in England's armour is that we are not very good at free kicks, or corners. If only there was an English player who could provide accurate delivery from dead ball situations....

I don’t understand. No ones passing backwards, we keep shooting and when we scored it didn’t take 10 minutes to check it was a goal ?????

If you travel westwards around the world, you will catch up with the sun, and when you cross the international date line you will miss a day (Sunday), as it will be Monday on the other side of the date line. If you do this twice, you will miss out Sunday and Monday, and it will be Tuesday. As a further refinement to this, if you go to the North Pole (or the South Pole), put your head on the top of the pole, then spin round the pole itself (what do you mean, there isn't a pole sticking out of the ground/ice?), you will cross through every timezone, whilst getting dizzy. Once you let go of the pole, you then need to run towards the nearest TV, to find out if the game has gone to penalties.

There, that's wasted several minutes of your life, so if you go back and read every one of my posts, it will soon be Tuesday.
