The high survival rate is all very well but the high hospitalisation rate ought to be a concern; and the so-called ‘Long Covid’ after effects. Whilst the total collapse of the NHS would be a welcome but drastic method of getting much needed reform, it is not a vote winner so Boris wants to avoid it.
