Newcastle 3.45 Mikmak - good 3rd last time at Pontefract when a bit unlucky (no clear run at a crucial stage,stayed on) in a class 5. The 2nd that day finished 3rd in a class 4 at York a few weeks later. - today Mikmak who was a regular contender in class 2, 3 and 4 handicaps in 2019 and 2020 (rated in the 80s) drops to a class 6 only for the second time in his career. The other run at Southwell can be excused because many horses don't like the surface there. - On a career-low mark and the Tim Easterby yard has been in really good form recently.
Nottingham 3.55 Harrogate 4 times in the first three from 7 runs since trained by Paul Midgeley. Flopped last time out when strongly supported in the market. On a very good mark (has won of 13lb higher). No ground worries and stable amongst the winners recently. Pat Dobbs a decent booking. Worth an each way bet.
Forget Thursday being ladies day at the races (as long as the house works done ) today at Newmarket is FAVOURITES day. Think ill go into hiding before the racing starts
