Good Morning. It's Thursday 24th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Don Revie Stand to become 'wall of noise' LUST proposal

LUST would like to expand the Don Revie Stand into a single-tier ‘wall of noise’ when Elland Road undergoes renovation work to increase the capacity to 55,000.

The Leeds United Supporters’ Club has written to Leeds Utd Managing Director Angus Kinnear to lay out what they want to see at the new ground. Acting chairman Lord John Mann will be holding meetings with the City Council to discuss their plan.

    LUST released a statement saying:-

“Noting the success and popularity of the Yellow Wall in Dortmund, twin city of Leeds City Council, the supporters want a new West Stand with appropriate corporate facilities to be complemented by a new Revie/North stand. “The Supporters Club, who are meeting Leeds City Council and local community representatives to present our vision, have this week sent the proposals to club chief executive Angus Kinnear for discussion.

“The proposals also include a supporters facility underneath one of the new expanded stands, a green transport plan incorporating the supporters' century-long expertise in getting Leeds fans to matches and detailed proposals on the quality of the supporters experience from toilet facilities to leg room in seats and refreshments inside the stadium. “The proposals were developed through a detailed working group and consultation across the Supporters Club branches and avid Leeds supporting membership.”

Phil Barrett of the Scarborough and district branch said: “A vast single-tier Revie stand would provide Leeds United with a huge white wall of noise on match days. Home players would relish playing in front of it and opposition players would need a stout heart.”

Mick Hewitt of South Kirkby and district branch added: “Our desire to keep the same atmosphere or better led us to look at the Dortmund Kop. I would welcome the increase in capacity to amplify the volume created.”

EFL may still retrospectively relegate Derby County

The EFL released a statement at 11.50pm last night fining Derby County £100,000 for their accounting policies. It is claimed that Derby have deliberately down valued their players, making it easier to write off their valuations over time, for tax purposes.

The League Arbitration Panel may still retrospectively impose a points deduction on the Rams. The EFL have had to develop an "interchangeable" fixture list for both Derby and Wycombe Wanderers, while the disciplinary process is finalised as the Championship fixture list is to be released at 9am this morning. This means all clubs can prepare for the season ahead as usual.

Given the seriousness of the investigation, the EFL have decided that it is necessary to run the full independent judicial process. A 2 point deduction would see the Rams relegation to league 1, swapping places with Wycombe Wanderers.

Fenerbahce warn Leeds away from Hungarian International

Fenerbahce President Koc has sent out a clear message to both Leeds and West Ham, warning the Premiership duo against trying to poach Attila Szalai on the cheap. The 6ft 4' Hungarian International defender has been in fine form during the Euro's, propelling not just his status, but his price tag too.

The Turkish outfit only paid €2m to sign Szalai from Cypriot side Apollon Limassol, in January of this year. If Leeds wanted him today, the Turks would want between 10 and 20 times that amount!

Koc was quoted as saying by Turkish broadcaster aSPOR: “I wouldn’t even talk about under €20m for Attila Szalai.” A spokesman for the Turkish giants suggested a fee of €30m may be more realistic.

    Morning all….

I’m seeing the same names being constantly linked which leaves me wondering 1) is there any substance to them or 2) If we’ve been after them that long why haven’t they been signed yet?

I personally feel Nahitan Nandez links and story is the most likely

We just seem very hush hush and in house these days.
not that I'm complaining about it.
apparently the new season shirt was done just before the season ended with Koch and Phillips doing a secret shoot somewhere according to Graham Smythe while other Clubs would put it out straight away we hold back same as last season i think we were the last Prem team to unveil their shirt.
Bielsa everyone knows he's signing a new contract but we hold back to announce it for whatever reason. could be more into it but im fairly sure the deal is agreed and possibly already signed.
Transfers I'm happy the way we doing it keeps everyone guessing that's why there is so many names thrown in the hat. like today theres noway on earth we are chasing Salzai
Gilmour has a good game then we are interested
Salzai scores against Germany and now we are interested.
they know nothing thy know leeds are chasing players in certain positions so they just add our names and hope.

Nandez is the one I have longed to see happen for a year, but something not quite right. He was cheaper when Bielsa first tried to get him when we were in the Championship. Yes Radz has a relationship with the Caliagri owner but why would he stand for his mate to insert a buy out clause of over £30m and just pay it…….. obviously if true.

I really think the jornous dont have a clue so we get the same names rehashed over and over. Im not hearing anything and I usually get a whisper or two even though Leeds play their cards close to their chests. Last Summer Rodrigo out of the blue, Cuisance out of the blue Raphinha out of the blue but had heard a whisper about a German International and knew about Llorente, but think it may be surprise time again and fair play to the club

Needs to be said that the EFL are a bunch of bent incompetents. We all knew 2 seasons ago that Derby had been cheating. We saw 2 teams who had cheated contest the play off final and Villa seem to have got off scott free because they got promoted. A few facts here because it needs saying again: Mel Morris sold his football stadium to himself at an over inflated price. He is getting away with that because of the bent cnut Harvey who took a brown envelope and for that gave Morris in writing that the EFL had sanctioned the sale. Thats why Harvey resigned so fast and left the same day, because everyone knew what had happened. Derby still had lots to answer for as their accounts were doctored twice and accounts for the previous 3 seasons were also suspect. They finished up getting done for “Amortisation fiddles” which simplistically mean they declared lower player values and then wrote them off over fairly fast. The norm is a player has a value what you pay and you write his value off over the period of his contract, so on paper his value reduces naturally as the debt reduces.

Derby cannot even pay their players and now fined £100k and in theory can still be deducted points for last season, which would relegate them. Derby have been given 2 fixture lists as one of them is for L1 and wycombe (i think) also have 2 fixture lists as they could be promoted. What a joke as this should have been done last season

As someone pointed out on Twitter. Derby get fined £100k for cheating and fiddling their account. We get fined £200k for watching a training session from a public path, breaking no rules FFS.

By the end of today The Leeds Utd Football Group could be born, or a name very similar. Radz is over in Italy and on the verge of buying Salernitana football club for just over €50m.deal is very close and Salernitana needs to be owned by someone else by tomoz as the present owner cannot have 2 Seria A clubs and as one if his clubs has just been promoted one has to go…..

This is very interesting because obviously Chelsea have high hopes for this kid and Carlos Corberan has managed to get him on loan. However Carlos could have bought Olly Casey but obviously a loan works better for the club maybe. The other thing is that this kid is behind Charlie Cresswell in the England pecking order and played more games last season and both are exactly the same age 18yo. So just maybe Cresswell has a big future too and Corberan would have known that?

Please note that the statement came from Leeds United Supporteres Club (LUSC) not LUST (Leeds United Supporters Trust). I'm a member of both.

What a nightmare for fans, thanks to the stupidity and arrogance of club owners.

    Wolves: sorted
    Everton: not sorted yet
    Spurs: not sorted yet
    Palace: not sorted yet

simon Jordan still has a say at Palace but has spent the last week slagging off Benitez and telling Everton not to use him, now he could end up at Palace. Benitez has options in Spain and Italy so may just tell some people to fk off
