I'm with you Jub-I get p****d with our lack of ambition away from home and feel Tuncay should have been given more of a chance. I also do not think we are safe and the next two home PL games are crucial, given our away fixtures but we are ninth for Christ's sake, are well run and financially sound. How many other clubs have come up and gone back down. The words pretty miraculous comes to mind in terms of where we are. Yes it does not indemnify TP from criticism and it may be that if does not change his style of play for next year, discontent will grow, but I'd rather play Arsenal, Man U than Barnsley or Preston (no disrespect to those clubs). The devil you know-do you want good football and to go down or up and at em and stay up.
The style of play is a problem with me, but it's not my biggest gripe. Pulis has done a magnificent job for us, but I just don't think he can take us any further. I don't think the style of play is the biggest reason here. Pulis has spent the best part of ã75m and we haven't got a midfield playmaker, a proper goal scorer or full backs who are full backs and not centre backs put there. We NEED to solve those problem areas and we had the chance when Jamie O'Hara was available, but we turned down the chance, twice to get him. If we had a manager who had more respect in the game like Martin O'Neill we would get those players in, I am sure of it.
How much longer are we willing to watch this though?. Ill always be a stoke fan and Ill support the manager but this doesnt mean I have to like him and his terrible tactics, yes I would like him out but while he is here Ill support him. When I was saying things like this at the start of the season I was slated, now I find more and more stoke fans growing tired of pulis hoofball and negativity. UTPsssssss
Exactly. I criticise Tony Pulis all the time, his tactics, his team selections, and his relationship with the players. However, merely disagreeing with someone over a number of things is absolutely not grounds for sacking him!
You never know this may be a perfect excuse for Tony to quit at the end of the season. If he says he can't get on with the local Press and he felt he didn't have the confidence of the supporters any more!!!

And, believe me, I have seen so many away games where yesterday's team selection, the lack of subs, at the right time, the excuses Mr Pulis comes out with i.e. the pitch? Tony, I and you have both seen much worse before yesterday. Wigan, Utd's used to be a bog but, they Utd, could still play football on it! The fact that "Our team don't is plainly obvious to US the FANS. So it should be to you Tony? OUR midfield is non existant, they Delap in particular just can not pass a simple ball. Over the course of this season, the games where I've listened to Radio Stoke. ALL I ever here is this. " Delap has the ball plays it to oh dear, he's missplaced his pass intercepted by x y or z for the opposition. Delep isn't the only one to do this. Yesterday I heard far too often. Ryan or Huth would kick it long why? Simple becasue they both know that whoever gets the ball short into midfield will simply lose it. There is no cohesion/link between C/hs and the midfield. NEVER reall has been. Can we blame Ryan, Huth, Collins and Co for hitting it long no we can not. Tony, IF you can not see the bloody obvious then maybe it needs someone to point this out to you. I do NOT want to go back to the Championship and struggle to get back here. My main gripe with Tony Pulis is this. I know that given the chance, player's like Tuncay, Eidur and a few more like Arismedi, even K Jones will do better than Diao and a couple of others you seem to favour ahead of all those player's. Fact is that NON of those player's were ever given a chance apart from K Jones who is looking like he wishes he wasn't here right now. I wondered why this was after our recent home game. Tony unless you play with two wingers away from home. Because our midfield is so bad and I believe it's the worst in the Premier Legue, by a country mile. Player's like K.J. Kitson and Beattie before him, do not stand a chance in hell of scoring because we bypass the midfield and HOPE that K.J. Fuller or Carew can do it on their own. They won't because they are not magician's. Just player's who are begging for a decent cross or a decent pass. Put simple, IF YOU Mr Pulis do NOT improve our MIDFIELD I mean completly overhaul it during the summer. I will want to know why you have not done so. Boring, but it's keeping us up, just. I will forever keep the faith with the player's. THEY are TOLD to play a certain way by one person that's you Tony Pulis. I don't blame Delap, he's too old, too slow and it's NOT his fault that YOU play him. Diao, just isn't good enough, but YOU picked him. Sack Pulis no, but for God's sake Tony, stop moaning when you picked a team that was sent out to NOT concede and we lost. And STOP this, they have some excellent player's world beaters, pace all over the pitch crap BEFORE games too! It does not fill me with any confidence whatsoever. HOW do you expect our player's to feel or think when they hear that kind of talk? I've always gone out thinking, " I can beat that guy,this guy surly you can instill that kind of mentality into our team, or can you, I'm not sure anymore. Either way, I will not stay patient for much longer. And, IF the worst happens, and I sincerely HOPE it does'nt. What then Tony? Rant over.
sorry,i disagree about being in the PREM with this shower of **** Give me Div 3 (cause i will support them even then) WITH 11 PLAYERS THAT CARE ABOUT STOKE CITY & not about their pay packets Since the inception with SKY it's all about money REAL fans don't care about money, THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR TEAM & at this point in time (ok were in the PREM), but we are playing the worst football i have ever seen. Give me a rainy Tuesday night @ chesterfield ( no offence chesterfield ) with 11 players who would sweat blood for this club anytime, rather than watching Tony Pulis destroy FOOTBALL with his negative HOOFBALL tactics. Yes, I understad your views.. some people have more leniancy with Tone than others. He isn't a terrible manager so he shouldn't go however there are some things even I don't like about him.. 1) his subs, always brings on ridiculous players at ridiculous times 2) his 'loyalty' to mama, mama needs to be gotten rid of Tone!!! 3) prioritizing the leauge TOO much But I like him as a person and a manager, and want him to stay
On thing you can't criticise Pulis' sides for is work rate! With the exception of Jones and Fuller, every player in our regular starting XI will run themselves into the ground. I'm not sure what you're talking about here Corners!
