Grealish and Saka deserve to keep their places for the KOs.

Kane’s gotta step it up though, not getting tons of service but also offering very little in general play. Don’t have any other decent alternative though.

Walker was also gash, back pass every time he got the ****ing ball.

Good to see slabhead back in the defence and Henderson getting 45 under his belt.

Boring and bland as per but job done.

Brought energy and caused issues by being so direct. Played a big part in the goal too. What has Foden donr in two games so far?

I'd start with Saka and play on the break and then if we can nick a lead bring Foden on to try and keep the ball later on.

I like Saka a lot, but anybody leaving Foden out against France or Germany to get Saka on the right, needs their head checked.

Apart from being England’s best player in the first two games and this being the weakest opposition we’ve played and we’d already qualified.

We’ve been watching different tournaments bro. Foden is on another planet to Saka.

We'll have to agree to disagree mate. Foden was as bad as anyone against the Jocks.

Southgate’s obsession with Mount & Sterling will lose us our place in this tournament.

Would you start Saka ahead of him if we play Germany or France?

Saka on left where he plays naturally, Foden on the right. Job done. Both are class.

I think Saka is ok playing as long has Grealish is starting, otherwise he's too quick for the rest, and Kane is like a bag of cement.

Foden is a more intelligent player and being a couple of years older, he also has the experience of a winning team, Man City.

It's a good difficult choice to have.

No way is that happening, that would take Southgate out of his comfort zone, but I like the thinking.

I certainly want Saka to play. Foden clearly the better player but I think the game he's used to playing at City (pass, pass, pass while waiting for an opening) doesn't suit this England team. Think we need to be more direct and run at players a lot more which I've not seen him do a lot of so far.

Your best 11 players isn't necessarily the best team. Think he could be a brilliant option on the bench to bring on if we're defending a lead and need to try and keep the ball more.

Nice to have options anyway. Wouldn't be against both playing and Sterling out tbf as harsh as that may seem. Grealish has to keep his place too.

Tbf if we play France I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter who we play <laugh>

I know mate, he won't even sub him when it aint working. But I can hope.

I said on another board before the game I hope Saka plays. I like him but not necessarily at Foden's expense.

Saka won't be getting a start at full-back either, I think that's the back 4 set now.

How about we play all three, drop Kane and play Foden as a false No. 9 <whistle>

I completely disagree, France are there to be beaten with players like Foden and Grealish to bother them, and Saka is a quality youngster but I’m not throwing him in against top opponents off the back of him running some no mark side around the pitch.

I’m not sure whether people truly appreciate what we’ve got in Foden, the kid is on a completely different planet technically to anything else in that squad, forget about tiki taka ****e, he walks into any team in the world. Any.

Yeah he's a fantastic talent and miles ahead technically but I don't think he's shown it at this tournament so far. Perhaps we'll see the best of him with more space? Fingers crossed.

I think Germany and (espescially) Portugal are far more beatable than France personally but we'll see who we get. I'm hoping for Germany.
