Not the first time Bordeaux have been facing a crisis. Not a lot in their squad of interest to City. Their player of the season last year was 35yo Koscielny who was at Arsenal and the best of the rest were Ben Arta and Seri neither of whom set the world alight in the EPL. Their best youngster is probably Adli who originally came through the system at PSG but whilst he is similar to Buendia it would probably take him too long to adjust to the pace and physicality of the EPL. One for the future whom City might get for about £6m if they get in quick.
Yacine Adli is a good prospect, I thought he played CM or CAM more than RAM. Hes got quick tricky feet but I think he lacks the physicality for the Premier League. He is similar in stature and build to Vrancic.

Bordeaux have Josh Maja who was loaned to Fulham in January. 22 year old English Striker formerly of Sunderland, if anyone watch the documentary you will have heard of him. Should be available if they loaned him out?

Steven Berghuis is reported to be on our radar as an Emi replacement. 5m euros release clause at Feyenoord. Mind you, I read this on Carrow Road.net

The club have already rebutted this through Michael Bailey and the Pinkun. Sounds like we were interested, given the release clause, but Berghuis was not. He isn't going to be short of offers at that price.

My impression was that we'd been interested in the past, but that was no longer the case given that he'll be 30 in December. He'd probably be looking for a 3 year contract on a high wage and that isn't the way SW works. Drmic on a free as a backup striker perhaps, but not a 29 year old as a replacement for Emi. £5m looks a fair whack in that context.

I know it's the euros but I want us to announce some signings soon I always get nervous at this time of year

£9.4m according to Sky, on a four year deal. This looks to be a superb deal judging from the highlights above. Certainly willing to take a shot and looks speedy with very good close control. Who's heard of him before?

Reported earlier in the window that he had a €15m release clause, transfermarkt have the fee at £9.8m.

Either way, at a figure like that I think he becomes our record signing.
