I don't think you have any evidence for most of that. I don't think Pep and Jose are good tacticians (although I'm not actually sure anyone is). It's more that they developed a simple strategy that got the best out of any group of players. As you say they also tended to have a very good group of players so that combination resulted in great success. I still think coaching skills are the prime requisite of a coach. That is partly motivation but I think more importantly it is being able to recognise strengths and weaknesses and improve players' decision making. That is what Pochettino has...remember him saying that they taught Eric Dier how to play in midfield. The problem Poch had was that there were five teams in the PL with better players. The best evidence that coaching matters is the Barcelona team where they could pick an entire eleven that came through their academy. It is almost impossible for one academy to have accidentally acquired so many good players at once. It is much more likely there were three or four excellent players and they were all coached to play the same system well.
Just try to forget you’re a Spurs fan and you should be able to have a happy one! Have a good one, mate
Been quite a few reports in recent days of Levy and Paratici disagreeing on things already. Both on the style of manager and the actual person too. The guy hasn’t officially started yet and I’m beginning to wonder if he even will! Lol.
While people use the word owner to describe the top level management of individual NFL teams, since the NFL uses a franchise model, the real owner of every team is the NFL. The NFL is a kind of council of owners. This may sound like a distinction without a difference, but it isn't, since owners rights to their franchises may be revoked by the vote of the council of owners. That said, I don't know who would "own" an NFL franchise that played in WHL. But it would be subject to much more control by its league than a PL team would be.
Happy Birthday Mr Brian , let me guess your Birthday gifts Damned socks, pants ,t shirt and pocket square ?
And who would possibly know about that? Sounds like the report of someone with an agenda to me. Not to say it isn't true, but I would say that it's unlikely it is known.
Potter now favourite in the betting odds after Moose said he’s heard it’s between him and Nuno. Paratici apparently fancies a 3 CB formation - Potter ticks. Levy wants a manager who’ll attack and play a decent brand of footy - Potter ticks. Someone who can and develop players - Potter ticks. Linked with Lamptey recently - Potter’s first signing? Makes so much sense that I look forward to Nuno being appointed in the coming days
Why have we suddenly got lots of **** about who we're after in the press? That's new and it's not good.
