GB News - - the new news channel. I watched 10 minutes and was unsure, Neil Oliver was interviewing Shaun Ryder. I noticed some momentum on Twitter with various people pushing it and a few arguments that it’s too right wing (Farage was a guest today). I liked one tweet and suddenly had a dozen new followers who if I’m being totally honest I’ll keep an eye on them as they we’re definitely a bit too far right for my comfort level. So I looked up who the presenters are for this new channel and I was pleasantly surprised and shocked at a few of the big names abandoning Sky ITV and the BBC Anyone else watched it?
A few hiccups that need to be ironed out but at least it's a change from the same old on the other news platforms... You can name countless left wing people on the Beeb, sky etc so surely farage is a small dent in the statistics, the companies who started to pull their advertising might have to rethink
I’ve watched some of it and imo it isn’t right wing at all. Nor is it left wing (thankfully, there are enough of those channels) It’s just normal. Yes they have people on from opposite ends of the political spectrum, from Farage on one side to Peter Tatchell on the other, but that’s how it should be. The left just like something to moan about. They hate anything that isn’t woke.
Some years ago I worked nights at Mount Pleasant and as was customary in them days we would go for a few pints before our shift started. Once a month at the pub we drank in the Animal Liberation Front had their meetings in a room upstairs, so on these nights we would go in the pub and find loads of crusty types with skinny dogs on a string, one night my mate turned up and asked if they were still serving food as he hadn't eaten yet, he was just in time and ordered bangers and mash, just as he was finishing one of these starving dogs came up to him, so he gave it a bit of sausage, the dog loved it, so he gave it another piece, the dog was wagging its tail and salivating by time he was given the last piece of sausage when it's owner saw what was going on; "did you just feed my dog meat?" he asked "yes he ****ing loved it!!" my mate replied, "but he's a vegetarian!!" the owner pleaded, "not no more he ain't" was my mates reply, this caused outrage amongst the ALF group which resulted in a stand off that very nearly turned into a full blown bar room brawl, which would had gave us something to talk about during our night shift!!
