We're not all anti-mag or indeed anti-chappy... The way things are going we are gonna need thick skin.
The thick skin has been there for 30 odd years kidda. Comes with the territory. As for hating mags I don't. I have many mag friends to be honest but on an internet forum, I am at liberty to abuse and put down mags who use it to take the piss out of my club, just as they would me if I ripped the michael from theirs. It's every fans duty to protect their own. We are cats. They are dogs. Never the twain shall meet.
Baxter...If only....I heard a story about Baxter being on the end of a deadening robotic prematch lecture from an international manager...Baxter kept quiet until the tunnel then said Im not doing any of that crap by the way...Give the ball to me and we`ll win....he then went out and destroyed the opposition....I loved watching Sunderland when he played....
Well put Cest. I've been best man for a red and white twice. A red and white was my best man. I've got many mates who are red and white and would do anything for them. Put me in a ground on derby day and I despise every single one of them for 90 minutes. I'm sure you'll all feel the same and long may it continue.
I'm off to the local in Chester to watch our game and will be meeting up with some mags after to watch theirs (yes you have plenty who watch it on the telly too) and to have a drink with the ones returning from Sid James later. I have no problems with that and as you say, its only on derby day that the intense dislike kicks in. Before and after I'm completely ambivalent. Well, kind of anyway? Lol
I don't really come across any Mags in the area I live or socialise, however, there are a few where I work, and I've got to say that all but one of them are total nobheads, the exception being a lad from Berwick who is brilliant. Having said that, in a previous job which I left eighteen years ago, I worked with a Mag from Blaydon who I still regard as a friend to this day, and we still keep in touch from time to time.
