He's here for a long time. He's got lucky before now he's got Graeme Jones to hold his hand. You could almost say it's deja vu
That’s my private wish - but there’s the equally powerful wish that I can maintain interest in the tournament. It’s confusing. Not ‘confusing’ like sex. Just confusing in a self contradictory sense. I want them out so I can see change; but I want to feel passion during the tournament. Whatever happens there won’t be change, so it makes you want England to just stumble through. and I thing that’s where Germany/Belgium/Italy/France stole a March in us in the past - they stopped cheering and started planning
I like that Leicester Turk - Soyuncu? I like Mings, he has something very promising And the young Van Dyke at Liverpool shows promise
I'm going to have to say no X2 Soyuncu had a stinker against us Mings is terrible Van Dijk I'll take him
Agreed on Soyuncu’s game against us - but if anyone’s game against NUFC represented their season’s form then they were actually relegated. Mings’s career will help us, eventually!
Don’t say that out loud. But it’s true. We’ll be left behind and all the future recalibration and sudden adherence to fair-play will benefit Liverpool/ManU/Chelsea etc - we’re the second cousins invited to make up the numbers on the dance floor, while the well-to-do relatives whisper about us. We get drunk and think they value us.
There are far better players sitting on the bench who can’t get a look in. That performance goes down as one of the worse ever under Southgate. I said before a ball was kicked he would play passive sideways defensive cautious football. I was right. Kane was useless last night but he got absolutely no service at all. I like Phillips. I undecided on Rice. Name me one other TOP nation who play with two defensive midfielders when playing a back 5?
The problem is form hasn’t played much of a part in selection and the “old faces” still get a game. Southgate sets us up not to lose and hence why Rice gets a game who simply isn’t good enough. Southgate’s tactics are shocking and his substitutions are mind blowing. He simply has no idea. How Sterling gets in the squad astounds me. He plays like Ruel Fox did he flatters to deceive and is anonymous on a good day and is absolutely rank on an average day and has me screaming at the tv (the television set and not some bloke in women’s clothing) on a bad day. I still remember how bad he was at the World Cup last time. Kane has been ineffective since some moron told him he could play midfield. Pickford is not our number one number one. I don’t like Grealish as he is a prima donna and falls over when it’s windy but you have to be blind not to realise he is one of our decent “flair” players but Southgate can’t see that. I could go on but apparently I have a session of meditation with Car Rug later which I have to prepare for.
