This is Helmut Marko we are talking about, like the older version of Flavio. And with Neil Martin (ex RBR) he might know a trick, not to listen in entirely, but to know they are talking at that time, with Ferrari having a light when there's chatter or not. (Simple terms)
Well in that case it lends even less support to their argument and makes it a 'false accusation' and possibly a 'pyscho-game'! He works high up for Red Bull, thus he speaks for Red Bull. Here's another from Adrian Newey if you prefer... http://www.autoevolution.com/news/r...r-developing-engine-despite-freeze-18004.html Again, nothing was proven (again, as far as I'm aware) so how is it any different from the suspicions that McLaren aired? 'Might'? If you base things one what might have happened then one could come up with all manner of suspicions and accusations. Red Bull might have flexi wings/floors.
Wasn't he correct in the sense of reliability improvements that were done by Mercedes, being able to ****** the fuel now etc... and thus giving this hot blowing horror we had to endure.
I remember this pretty well, it was originally a sarcastic joke from Marko (i saw the german interview where he said that with a grin). But it was blown out of proportion by the media.
Depends how you see it, for me it wasnt just reliabilty being improved, but using that reliability to gain another unused advantage and play dumb that it was just all for reliability. Well the FIA must of seen it as a problem since it was wasting fuel in the end and that engine changes were only meant for reliability, Mercedes in a way twisted this rule, though Renault found their own way in the end.
Read here for example: http://www.timeslive.co.za/sport/mo...ll-alter-pitstop-procedures-to-thwart-ferrari “There were some comments (after Sunday’s race) about Ferrari spying on us which I think have been misinterpreted,” said Horner.
Yep, except that's Horner saying it, not Marko. That's just damage control. He goes on to say “I think Helmut (Marko, a close adviser to Red Bull’s billionaire owner Dietrich Mateschitz) was convinced that they knew when we were pitting, which they did,”, so clearly Marko didn't say it jest. They changed their pit procedures after that anyway so they can't have completely discounted it. Anyway, this doesn't change the fact that Red Bull air their suspicions about other teams just like McLaren have done. So I think the original argument that McLaren are the ones who accuse teams of things isn't really fair.
In 2009/2010 Renault played the same card. They chagned their engine for reliability (kept blowing up in the Red Bull) then it mysteriously also seemed to get some more power and can now hold its own against Mercedes, where previously it couldn't. Face it, there all at it if they think there is an advantage to be had.
If you want to create your own reality i dont mind. You have to live within it. For the facts: McLaren pushed the media for many months day in day out regarding ride height stuff, crash kid stories, flexi-wing and so on. Red Bull never nearly came close to that kind of history.
Systematically, McLaren are the worse team for complaining to the media of the two. However, Christian Horner speaks to the British media more than anyone in Formula One (bar Coulthard and Brundle of course), and just happens to be one of the biggest moaners in sport. He alone makes it a close contest.
ffs hamilton was within a second of vettel for like 3 laps and ****ing commentators kept wittering on about ****ing ferrari before they noticed , thick ****s!
Hamiltion needed button to catch up with webber to allow him to concentrate on gettign vettel, its allowed vettel to pull out winning lead
Safety car ruined mclarens strategy (with lewis) as they were 15 seconds clear of 3rd place and catching seb at the time. Great fight between lewis and webber, intense stuff but I gotta bad feeling theyre gonna touch
Is it possible that both Hamilton and Webber's tyres are being as well treated as Buttons? Although as I write that, he loses ground.
the feck he is, button is waiting to see if hamiltion and webber wipe each other out and pick up the pieces, as there is no way your telling me he cant catch them up
was vettel even in this race? a different formula today, loved the scrap between 2nd and 5th today, not the best race but worth getting up for.
