Dicko apart the guys you have brought in the squad and the first team are no better than our kids like Hodson ,Thompson, whichelow , Murray , mingoia , Assambolonga Massey!
We have a class academy this has produced some great kids, I am struggling to see how forsyth yeates hogg etc are any better!
We are going backwards fast , Please act quickly , I fear for your job ,I fear for our teams confidence and worst of all I fear for our championship status!
Sean please ring Malky or go speak to GT come up with another plan before its too late and uncle Baz gives you the push!

I posted this on another thread but I though it should be aired on here as well:

There is no plan of attack, well there is just crossing a ball hoping, wishing someone will get on the end of it. It was the same at Bristol Rovers in the cup game, lots of crosses but nothing on the end, could not score in a brothel! We need another way of attacking as we have been found out far too early in the season, if we had points on the board and then we got find out fine. Sadly that is not the case, every game is the same cross after cross after cross we will continue to struggle if we do not come up with something else!

Even when we do cross it's always something from the further back on the wing, usually from Dickinson or Eustace.

Buckley and Cowie weren't perfect wingers but when the used to cross the ball they surged forward into the box and the byline, before either laying it back or chipping it over the defenders. We need to do more of that, attack the defence with power and urgency.

Against Palace today were so slow and predictable, in fact our only real chance came when Garner got past a couple of defenders after he moved into the box with real intent. Again, Sordell ran fast towards them at one point in the second half and he almost got through.

I fully support Dyche but one thing I've noticed with his style: we're really slow-paced.

i think with that chance Max, Sordell was greedy. He could have passed the ball to someone who had space, there were choices, but he saw the goal, and not the defenders that blocked him...

    My view:

Goalkeeper: The important thing is that Loach knows he is droppable. Would be unfair to judge him on today.

Defence: Martin Taylor has not been Martin Taylor this season. He's still first team material, but a short injury break could be a blessing in disguise. I feel sorry for Hodson, but our full backs have probably been our best players this season.

Midfield: I think Forsyth has potential, but he needs to see a therapist to sort out his phobia of the left touch line. If his game consists of cutting inside 100% of the time and waiting at the far post for headers, he'd probably be more use on the right. I don't rate Hogg as much as other people seem to, and think there are several youngsters who should be given a couple of sub appearances to stake a claim. Yeates is underrated. He's limited in possession, but he puts the work in and puts crosses in.

Up front: I think Iwelumo has looked alright when he's come on lately. A player who has done what he has in the past should be aspiring to more than "alright from the bench", but we started him when he patently wasn't ready, and now he's not starting when the guys ahead of him clearly aren't playing to their usual standards. If he doesn't perform, it's not as if the guy he replaces would have done any better.

The trouble is somebody like Sordell won't be running around chasing long balls and whilst the others probably mean well and go out to do their best its the fact most are too slow when getting the ball that creates problems.

    Even Dyche himself said that!

No-one expects perfect football (well some might..) but you either need players who have a good range of passing or can run quickly/control a long ball well like King and Young did.

I agree the defence has been ok this season actually but they won't always keep a clean sheet and we often don't create more than 3/4 chances ourselves to score.

Hey, how can anyone think the defence has been OK. We have let in 18 goals in 11 league games! This works out at about 80 for the season. Look at all the goals we let in over the years: 2010/11 71 goals and 09/10 68.

And another thing. Take out Danny Graham's goals last year and where would we have been? and then form an opinion on Mackay remembering the rest of the season once the target of 52 poionts had been reached. Once the goal had been reached there was no further goal on the horizon to aim for.

TBH Didn't note it was as much as that.

I meant in the home games really where we haven't really been tested apart from against West Ham defensive wise but our lack of threat up front is the bigger concern.
