I can see both teams being happy with a draw here, that way England only need a draw in the last game to guarantee the next round and Scotland still have a chance with a win.
If they think like that then both deserve to go out. It's not like we're playing Italy and both will be happy with a draw. It's Scotland ffs. It's like playing Romania for a draw!
Scotland really want to win (and kind of have to now) but a draw would still be a great result for them in the rivalry stakes. England won't want a draw in the rivalry stakes, but a draw would be ok in terms of the group. I'm still envisioning 1-0 to Scotland though.
I dont think there is an england scotland rivalry any more on our side. Maybe the Scots but the sides simply dont meet any more and england think they can win the thing England will want to cruise past the sweatys and set up a group topping b team result v czechs
Also England need to finish second in the group otherwise we play second play in the Portugal France Germany game so we’d go out. finish 2nd in the group and we likely to get Sweden
Croatia were not great but i can't see them losing to the czechs. In general we shoudl have a far better idea after the second game who is in 2nd in the other group and where things might go. The group e is not entirely clearl either now that poland lost. the easiest route is going to somehow finish 3rd in group as just good enough to crawl through and play finland who are obviously going to top that group with belgium the draw is fairly unkind no matter what way we cut it, some group winners almost have a bye and then no matter how england get out of their group it could be Belgium, spain, germany, france or portugal in the last 16 lol.
Yep... on paper look great but everyone looking to turn and take on the world themselves....while the rest throw their arms in the air in disbelief when it all breaks down...
Worse thing that happened to Hungary .... they started to believe they could nick it and opened up lol
