I'm confident of beating Boro. Reading though depends on lot on Lallana.

Managers been interviewed on Sky. Clough seems happy with draw..said they set out to stop us playing as we are such a strong team (sounds like a lack of confidence there), but found it hard to score early and then defend for 88 mins. Nige not happy..said their goal was off-sdie and Lambert kept being penalized unfairly for being stronger than Derby players.

Got my tickets for Tuesday, and feel that we should be confident against the Hammers. 15 straight home wins. Why not 16?

I'm finally going hurrah. Going down to see folks and dragging my dad to a game as he's not been going. I know. I'll have a word. It's a worrying condition! Least I've got a excuse living in Twells.

If you include the carling cup game, then it's already 16 (and considering everyone always says the last time we didnt win at home was Man Utd, which of course itself was a cup game, then i guess you do have to include the carling cup game).

Completely missed today. Caught up working elsewhere, even away from a radio. I've read the odd report. Apparently we seem to have left Nigel Clough happy to have achieved 1-1 at home. That's some going. He may not quite have his Dad's arrow like wit and perception, but I tend to respect what he says, rather than dismiss him. He thought 1-1 was a good result, so I expect, that we wouldn't be 100% happy..? Is that right..?

Nigel A definately not happy..thought we should have got 3 points. Nigel C looked very content which does tell you how we are viewed in this league.

I really do not think Derby are all that. We were stroking the ball around for fun today until Fraser came off and cork had to go to right back - lucky for Derby.

I am more concerned with Westham and Leicester (Who's spending has been silly).

Still you can not argue that we have exceeded expectations. As I said at the start Cortese will be aiming for a top 6 finish, min. I would not accept anything less in this league. Even the most pessimistic among us (Ian Thumwood) must feel this way.

They showed the game over here in Canada.

Saints where in a different class for the majority of the game. What a team you lot can go and see week in week out.

Why would you move to Canada.... I take it for the $ Fair pley. Southampton is buzzing at the moment, through the recession unharmed with a top football team.

Should've had all three points, disappointing, but shows how far we've come in such a short time. On to the next one. I hope you lot will all be there Tuesday, cheering the lads on against Wet Spam.

See you emigrated Cowntownred the year we were relegated!!! Not a bad move buddy, its been pretty dire watching our team plummet since 2005. But hey we've turned it round the last couple of years and now its a pleasure to watch our team week in, week out

We probably should have got more points out of the Cardiff, Leicester, Burnley and Derby games, but it's better to play well with little reward than to have to say that we deserved not to win. We've scarcely had a poor game this season, so more clinical finishing and we will get promotion.

Your right we should of got more points from those away games where we have more than matched those teams. My only concern is we are not keeping many clean sheets rather than our finishing. Going to next Reading week, want to see a scrappy 1-0 win.

  18. Got back from the game a little while ago and rather exhausted. First of all, fantastic stadium and very impressed with the set-up and facilities there.

Game itself, conceding the Derby goals was infuritating and we need to cut out these mistakes, the defence was napping. Robinson was marginally offside when he netted it but I wouldn't rely on the officials to do us any favours. The referee was very poor and tended to side with the home team on alot of decisions. After that Saints were very quite classy knocking the ball around but with not much final product up front. Second half was not quite as slick and became a little untidy. We lost our shape and formation when Richardson went off. And we did miss Lallana's creativity.

Leaving the ground after the game I got chatting to a couple of Derby fans who were very impressed with the attractive passing game we play and said we are the best team they have played at home in a long while. They were also very happy to have got a point out of us.

To be honest I was happy with the point too although it could have gone either way really.

Fantastic support from the 2,600 travelling fans. Great effort

Was also at the game and thought we were much the better side. If we could just finish off chances and stop trying to walk the ball into the net we will start turning these away draws into wins. Lambert won loads of headers and his link up play was outstanding.

Just off to bed. Can anybody recommend a book to read? Not Ruth Rendell or Unamuno, please.
