Jerusalem is based on William Blake’s poem, England’s green and pleasant land and all that. The rise of Albion. But Land of hope and glory is a good shout. I’m not a royalist, but I don’t have any problem with a song that pledges allegiance to the Queen. I just think the tune lacks any passion.
