Oh well, goodnight Scotland. They fooked about with the Czech's too much, you just don't get away with that. Will be very hard for them to come back now.
My expectation is about the same as always. We'll get through the group and lose to the first decent side we play. I'd give us a small chance against Germany/Portugal but none whatsoever against France. Saying that though, if we somehow fluked our way to the semis and then we're back at Wembley then anything can happen.
I've no expectation of England. They bore the shhite out of me at the best of times. I just let the manager do his job, ignore the people who think they know better, and if he gets thus far, then he can take all the credit.
They never learn I mean any country that thinks they've won when their leader gets his heart cut out really has got it coming
Never a penalty, McTominay should try to remember he's wearing his Scotland shirt, not his united one.
Think we've got the quality to do well and even potentially win it, just not overly confident in the manager.
Exactly how I feel, I don't think he's learned anything from our exit from the last WC. Future is bright though, we have a lot of young talent in the squad, which I have to credit him for, but I don't think he knows how to change a game, we need someone else who knows how to use the players he's got better.
Southgates a taty it's a shame if the people that employ England managers chose more wisely we'd have a good chance
I do think he deserves more support than he's getting tbh. Yes he's clearly got his limitations but he's done a pretty good job so far and has led the transition from old to new well. Also got us more comfortable on the ball than I remember us being at any point this century. I thought the Trippier thing was baffling but he was excellent and Croatia didn't get a sniff. Would Rebic have had more joy if we had Shaw/Chilwell bombing up the pitch? Who knows, but you can only go by what happens and his controversial calls all paid off yesterday imo. I just think it's a bit sad. Almost like people are desperate for us to lose so they can slag the guy off. Let's at least support him and the team up until it goes wrong. And even if it does, if we win our group and lose to say France in the last 16 is that really a failure? Or is it about right for this group?
