I don't bother with the positive or negative I just try to stay grounded


I was more optimistic before we played that we had a good chance because I think we've got some very good players, but I'm not keen on that side.

If we'd have pressed throughout in that heat we'd have collapsed in final 20 and lost the game. The likes of chaos would have moaned about that too and called Southgate arrogant for going toe to toe with a side who beat us 3 years ago.

I thought we showed good game management. People need to realise that we're not good enough to dominate every minute of every game, and they're deluded if they think otherwise.
