UEFA can **** right off. Gave Denmark 2 options, play that night, or play Sunday at noon. Bunch of uncompassionate arseholes. Christian Eriksen: Resuming Denmark-Finland match was 'least bad decision', says Martin Braithwaite - BBC Sport The good news is Eriksen is doing well and in good spirits.
I suspect that money came into it, as no doubt the TV companies threatened a penalty if the replayed match clashed with another group game.
Yes true, but Finland play Russia at 2pm Wednesday, so not much turnaround time for them. It’s obviously a difficult situation, but I absolutely agree UEFA could have been a bit more liberal in the choices offered.
Yeah but again, they could have pushed Finland's 2nd game back to 12 noon on Thursday so they play the same day as Denmark.
Wouldn't mind that Tierney injury keeping him out of the England game. Should be an interesting game this.
I dream of the day when English fans have a national anthem which can be sung with the passion that the Scots just belted out Flower of Scotland. Spine-tingling.
Yes …. I come back to what I say every time the 6 Nations is on - if Scotland and Wales have their own national anthem, why do England sing the dirge anthem of the (potentially soon to be disbanded - sorry, no politics here) U.K. It begs the question though - what would be the best anthem for England? Hardly “Jerusalem” surely? “Land of Hope and Glory”? Though, these days, i’m thinking “We’re All Alone” might be more appropriate
My vote would be for Jerusalem, but there must be a songwriter out there who could come up with a new one, just like Roy Williamson of the Corries did with Flower of Scotland.
I guess it won’t be long until we’re back to some kind of “satanic mills” - though it’s more likely to be lack of work …..
Jerusalem should be the one. The Scots and Welsh get to sing songs about their pride in their country. We get to chunter out some dirge about being some born to rule old ladies servants. Really pumps you up…. (I’m not even an anti-royalist).
Lol just had my daily '9am' teams call - I normally work in my office upstairs, but am in the lounge today as Mrs no7 is out. Also means I can have the football on the big screen whilst working. 20 mins in, the company owner said "Have you forgotten you have a mirror behind your head in your lounge"
