I don't care what any of the pundits say or how many lemmings have bought what they were saying I think England looked crap today. Solid, but they weren't hurting Croatia.. The ball wasn't being moved fast enough and it just didn't have any fluidity to it.. It was patchy and kane who I'd been hoping would be sharp looked like he was 60 years old. It's a good win in the end tbh, but I fear Southgate won't play our best players now. I will see how they do in the next 2, but I'm not as optimistic as I was yesterday that's for sure... It was kinda like having a Bruce as manager today.. I saw the team sheet and all of a sudden I felt miserable.. Hated his subs too.
He says that but he never actually picks them... He's picking players based on who they play for. Jack grealish is probably England's best player imo and he can't get a game of Southgate no matter what he does. Players like Danny ings can't get a sniff.. Wilson would've done better than Kane today... Kane I can't argue with the numbers and lewin also, but wheres the option for pace and power If it isn't working? Watkins has been decent but not a sniff I bet There's too many boring players out there for my liking.. There's no exciting players in that side.... Foden can play but who with?? He's not got gundagon or de bruyne next to him now has he? He's got declan rice and Phillips.. I dunno I'm perhaps being overly negative about a good win, but I just don't see anything there. I'd rather see something totally different vs Scotland
