Thank god it happened on the pitch. If that had happened pretty much anywhere else, the response time would have been much longer.
Just a random bit of knowledge, but I think places like supermarkets have defibs now, anything that can help save lives is worth knowing.
No but seeing you get fined for complaining about something you dont pay for would be funny I've got to say
Yeah there’s been loads of charity work around providing them in recent years, round here we can be as much as 30 mins away from a blue light ambulance call, and a number of people in the villages have died before arrival. So there was loads of fund raising and they’re in every village now, outside the local pub, shop or village hall etc.
Yeah I’ve seen them at a few leisure centres etc. Great how far we’ve come from twenty years ago. Probably saving a lot of lives just by having them to hand, and not waiting for paramedics
Defibs would get robbed or used by chavs on other chavs in Manchester if they were in plain sight. Reminds me of when this cycle hire idea was trialled in Manchester by this Dutch company, they had GPS on every bike, you pay £2 an hour and ditch it at the nearest checkpoint when you’re done. Massive success in Holland. After 2 days they detected a number of their bikes in the canal that runs through the city
Don't think it's lampposts actually but there's defo something like that. I do a basic resus course every couple of years and was told about it in one of them.
****s sake...I was just enjoying "The Hit List" and the football's just come back on...I got the Stevie Wonder song too!
