Just came in and put the game on and heard what had happened. Didn't see it, but it sounds awful. I hope he pulls through.

So glad I'm not watching this. Sounds incredibly distressing.

I wish I hadn't witnessed that live. Still feel sick and distressed. Which is nothing to what his family and teammates will be feeling.

 

Pop out for 10 minutes and miss it all. By the sound of it, thank god I did.

 

I'm the same. Turned it on literally as it happened as I came in to make food.

Really distressed by it and as you say how must his wife feel being there and his teammates. Sickening.

It's past 1 a.m. here and I should be heading to bed, but I don't know how I can until there is more news. Still shaking and I've been in tears twice now. Too painful seeing all of that.

 

He’s awake and responsive . There is a picture of him on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on, on the PL thread .

Feel a lot better now. Obviously early days, but it looks as if, like Muamba, collapsing on the pitch saved his life. He almost certainly would have died otherwise.
