Free-to-air TV fodder. Approach with caution! York 200 Flymetothestars ew 25-1 8 runners, been off for a few years, but got to be worth a couple of quid, surely?!! EDIT: NOW 7 Runners 235 Baashir - A puzzle that may be solved by the Hills trained, Crowley ridden, son of Muhaarar 305 Makawee - 4 runner stayer's race. Has a favourite's chance 340 Jadwal - class animal with a touch of seconditis, a good opportunity here though. San 215 Queen’s Carriage - on a four-timer - back until a loser! 250 Buxted Too - Bottom weight but no forlorn hope. Che 140 Virginia Plane - Tricky little 5 runner field, my dart landed on this one. 320 Love Is Golden - one of Johnston's 3 and the likeliest for me Good luck all
Saw an article on the Racing Post Website yesterday that she is in foal and this will likely be her last run. Fingers crossed for a good run and that she comes back safe and sound

15:25 Sandown - Dejame Paso (Slowly improving and should be better suited to the faster ground conditions than at Newbury LTO. Jason Watson takes the ride for trainer A.M. Balding. 11/1 freely-available at time of writing, so it will be e/w. Very hopeful for a podium finish, at least!)
Not been a great week and way too much racing isn't helping today. Managed to pick out two, with the Scurry Stakes seeing one who did me a good turn last time, reappearing after a six week break. Warrior Brave had looked pretty progressive since being gelded and he landed a Goodwood contest in first time cheekpieces last time. On earlier form he has a couple of lengths to find with Atalis Bay, who went on to run behind Winter Power next time. Warrior Brave is 4 lbs worse off into the bargain but I get the feeling he is not yet exposed as a 5F sprinter and at 6/1 he is a fair bit bigger odds than the favourite today. In the 2.35 at York a former tip Manigordo lines up. He was awful the day I selected him but was much better next time with a third place. Back up to 7F may help but I can't forget that very poor effort. Instead I went with Gifted Ruler, who has been off for a year. His last run was a personal best and he remains with potential, being very lightly races. The Dascombe team have been coming into form and I feel Gifted Ruler may be better than his current mark. 2.15 Sandown Warrior Brave 6/1 2.35 York Gifted Ruler 11/2 2 singles and each-way double Good luck all.
Bookies having a laugh in the opener at York - Flymetothestars been off the track for 1371 days and runs off top weight yet they go only 10/1 as the outsider of 7 Will no doubt hose up
Was carrying more condition than me after 9 months of lockdown reebs - went out like a light at the business end (as I often do)
Nice one reebs - thought he was going to get Hanagen'ed but he battled back really well. You owe the horse a pint
Red wine, white wine, whisky, vodka, gin, schnapps - I opened up a German raspberry schnapps last night, bloody marvellous
