Was the report on the Beeb site a Brighton fan by any chance????

I mean we had 9 shots on target to their 4!!!!

I'll award a special prize to anyone who can find any mention of more than one of them below:

Brighton's winless run extended to a sixth game after they were held to a goalless draw by a resilient Hull at Amex Stadium.

Goalkeepers Casper Ankergren and Adriano Basso were the men in form in an entertainng game.

Nigel Pearson's Tigers have now gone seven games without defeat and remain in the play-off places.

Striker Craig Makail-Smith, with five league goals, had several chances but couldn't make the breakthrough.

Former Spain international Vicente had the best two early chances for the Seagulls, the best a powerful volley which was blocked.

As the highly energetic first period came to a close, Ashley Barnes was left red-faced when he stubbed wide of goal from close range after accurate service from Gary Dicker.

A lack of discipline from Corry Evans allowed Vicente another chance to demonstrate his dangerous ability from set-pieces, but the home crowd groaned as his curved free-kick dipped agonisingly over the crossbar.

Encouraged by a return to attacking manoeuvres, Seagulls boss Gus Poyet harried his players to push forward.

But with barely 10 minutes remaining, Sparrow looped a cross over the Hull backline to a waiting Barnes who scooped his shot wide of the target.

The pressure increased on the visitors when Mackail-Smith forced Adriano Basso to punch the ball over his crossbar with five minutes remaining, with Lewis Dunk again appearing to block a late Aaron Mclean drive, but the points were shared.

The analysis on 5 live seemed pretty accurate, said both sides were worthy of a point and both created chances. Clearly some journalists still don't like to be complementary about us!

Suppose Koren hitting the bar and McLean's missed one-on-one weren't that important. Corry Evans' lack of discipline was an integral part of the game though; definitely the right decision to include that momentous event in the game.

I would guess that 80% of the BBC sports staff are southerners...Enough said....

Moving lock, stock and barrel to Salford Quays might just work out to be the best thing the Beeb has done and finally make them understand that there is human life north of the M25

Pathetic report - not one mention about our efforts - hit the bar twice and Mclean through with a one on one with their keeper. Nine shots on target to their four.

    Sorry it out BBC FFS.

Shoddy journalism, but what do you expect from the BBC?

Even my seagull-mad father in-law said Brighton were lucky to get away with the point.

I thought a point was fair enough but we weren't in trouble at any point and we controlled the game really well.

The travelling support weren't very vocal. A shame.

Also a shame was the guy two seats down from me who hardly saw any of the game as he was shouting abuse at the silent right side of the City support.

We looked a decent side today, good passing but just didn't carve open the Brighton defence with enough precision. Still honours even in this Sussex household!

Centre mid looked good today IMO.

Nice to hear a reasoned summation Horsham.

Clearly need more of a cutting edge if we are to mount a serious challenge but the signs are promising.

Hopefully with more games under his belt the likes of Brady will kick on whilst Cam Stewart will certainly add to the mix once he gets match fit.

Would've have like to have gone (last visit mid 80s at the open end/side of the Goldstone in FA Cup Round 3 on a freezing cold day and lost 1-0 late on) - lack of parking around the new ground and the need to use P & R didn't sound great and had to make a decision in the week rather than turn up on the day.

That's not even a mention of the chance, they use the word 'appearing' as though it might not have happened, like they don't want to accept we actually did have a chance.

I interpret that as Dunk appearing out of nowhere to block the drive, not 'seeming' to. But I see your point.

Every team thinks they need one of those. In reality it'd be great to have one, but what you're dsescribing is a PL striker. We can't afford one of those, very few teams can, the whole art of building a team to win promotion is to make do without PL players.
