Apparently Nuno held talks with Everton yesterday and like with Palace, he wanted to bring in 6 new members of staff and Mendes as an advisor. Talks broke down. Moshiri, then contacted Rafa. Moshiri's advisor is also Rafas agent. Formal talks are expected this week. Rumours of Rafa wanting to bring in Carragher as a coach, but I'm not sure how true that is.
Makes sense to me. Its a new pay as you play contract. There is no u-turn. You release him meaning his current pay as you play ends then put him on a new one with different terms, probably including no payment except when playing, but with both club and player able to end it at any time with a short notice period. Suits both player and a club potentially in transition.
I reckon after yesterday’s revelations (or not as some pundits are saying) I reckon today is going to be boring as hell.
