Thought he payed well and was unlucky not to grab a winner. Best performance and hopefully a sign of things to come.
I think he could turn out to be a bit of a Meireles this season. He's showing a few glimmers of good stuff here and there, and hopefully he grab a rush of goals somewhere along the line. He gets into enough decent positions.
I think hes gonna be a top player.Similar to Lucas, hes gradually gonna get better and better.Has pace, probably the fittest player on the LFC books, and good on then ball too
I saw an interview with Steve Clarke and he said that Hendo was always one of the players wanting to stay behind and do extra training and he had trouble making him understand that rest was just as important as training was. Great attitude to have and I agree he could turn out to be an excellent buy.
TBH when he came on I thought "oh no". He looked well out of his depth at Spurs earlier in the season, but, with hindsight, he wasn't the only one. A good cameo today but I still think next year is his, not this.
Henderson glides around the pitch effortlessly.....showed similarities to stevie g today moving onto the ball, just needs to find the finishing....good signs though.
I won't lie, I was up-in-arms when he took Lucas off for Henderson, but I was wrong to be. The lad genuinely looked at threat today and I also feel he could become a bit of a Meireles too. Unlucky with that volley, and yes he should've done better with the header but he wasn't far off from landing it in the top corner.
The thing is would you still be happy if it had be henderson instead of lucas against utd starting line up?
Well I trust KD 100%, so every team sheet I look at, I look at with optimism. But I would have been disappointed and slightly confused had it been Henderson and not Lucas on the team sheet, as Lucas really is the cog of the team. And I am not looking forward to next weekend without him. Yes it's only Norwich, but thats the exact type of team we always get frustrating draws against.
Not sure Lucas is what we need against norwich though. Lucas is part of the reason we do get frustrating draws.
Lucas had a mare today, you could clearly see he was not sharp from flying halfway across the world a couple of days ago.
I thought he was brilliant when he came on in the game. He has the pace to go with the effort and is showing some better touches than previously. I would like to see him start ahead of Kuyt, or Kuyt going upfront with Suarez, he deserves to start.
He got into some really good positions towards the end, and he was clearly our main source of attack when the United defence had all tired. He looks to me to be a super sub so far; I'd love for him to get more sub appearances as the season goes on and then start more next season when he's developed a bit more.
if he'd have hit that looping shot the tiniest fraction harder it was in for the winner, also the header was close. I reckon a few good years to come outa this lad.
He's starting to grow on me, I have to admit I was not a fan of his at the start of the season but he is improving almost every time I see him, he has a great engine and seem's to be strong mentally, if he can keep improving then I think we will have a top player on our hand's in a season or two and it will be money well spent.
