The people booing England players 'taking a knee' are an "ignorant minority" who need "educating", says former England captain Rio Ferdinand.
England players were booed before two games last week as they made the gesture to highlight racial injustice.
Ferdinand told the BBC those that booed were "being heard loud and clear".
He added: "They are part of the problem. These people need to be educated. I think half of them don't even know what they're booing for."

2) Have you studied the recent survey which shows that 4 out of 5 people feel that taking the knee has passed its sell by date and should stop immediately.

Ridiculous. I would have accepted that if they were simply just proposing it, but they had actually signed on the dotted line & knew fine well they were breaking the rules. So they get away with paying a little over £3m. Peanuts.
For doing what they did, they should have been fined 50% of their annual turnover & banned from Europe for 5 years (ok, bit harsh, so make it 30% & 3 years ban).
They should also be warned that if their name is even mentioned in a similar plot, they should be banned from the FA & its competitions sine die.
Following the news that neither Hungary nor Croatia will "take the knee" before the Euros comes the news that Brentford will not be partaking either in the Premier League.

I remember when this all kicked off and a Burnley fan paid for an aeroplane streamer saying All lives matter. The poor bloke was trashed in the media and on telly news and sports news and local news.
