I don't think McCann is interested in a plan b and that could be his downfall. The other coaches and scouts will know exactly our game plan. But i suppose brucie was quite predictable although he had better players.
What is our game plan? Going out and trying to outplay the opposition like every other Club in the Championship?
I don't think it was primarily about money, he was specifically looking for a deal with a club who'd also give him a coaching role and no such offer was forthcoming.
Yes if it was purely about money he'd have ended up with a club as some money is more money than no money.
This for me is the best bit of news we could have this transfer window, I honestly think he is going to be a real top player soon and to have him in a city shirt for the next 2-3 years is superb…
I feel like a broken record over the last 4+ years, on my podcast and elsewhere, about our policy around getting players to re-commit. It just seems so exceedingly rare to see a senior player re-commit to the club. I honestly don't know why, I don't know what the club doesn't see the value in. Surely having a player re-sign is cheaper than letting them go and gambling on a new player coming in and being as good or better. Surely having a player re-sign and then selling them for a fee is better than letting them walk for nothing? It's just a massive head scratcher.
It's great news, but hardly unexpected, it was said weeks ago that we where In talks with him to extend. Onwards and upwards for both parties now
