Kind of my point, as I mentioned before we weren’t great in that area of the pitch last year, and Walcott and Minamino were a part of that group. Letting both of their loans expire and bringing in some fresh faces would’ve been my preference by far. Keeping both means the chances of real change in that area of the pitch diminishes to about zero unless we sell both Redmond and Djenepo
I would sell Redmond if we can TBH. I prefer Minamino who I think is a better player. If all goes to plan next season Armstrong will play in one of those positions all the way through rather than playing in CM when Romeu was out. We're so much better when we have Romeu next to JWP and Armstrong further forward, something we missed a lot in the 2nd half of the season. I'm ok with Armstrong, Walcott, Minamino/Redmond and Djenepo as those options behind the strikers.
That still leaves the same issue as this season though, one injury/suspension and we are back to playing some of the proven deadwood. Tella hopefully can kick on and be a big part of the team next year. There is no guarantee that any of the hypothetical players we could sign will be any good either, I’d just rather roll the dice than go with players who have proven to be average
I am quite excited about the signing of the tea lady. She just the person we need to give one or two sides a tannin.
The tea lady appointment is a very 'Dick Dastardly' like plan to get some cups in the trophy cabinet.
Dael Fry, I'll chip in a like if we're fishing for a promising CB maybe he'll stop us getting battered next seasoning.
