Which opens other cans. I get this. So why, given they have the power to stop it themselves would they?
It would have been better replacing the words massive bus with massive Andy Carroll. It would have been so much better:
I’m thinking that the ARB can’t seriously be deemed similar to the CAT (the reasoning for the PL wanting it thrown out). The reason being is the desired outcome is completely different?
It means neither of those things though, all that’s happened is that he’s brought a case, which will be heard. That’s it.
The desired outcome of CAT is compensation and/ or injunction to force the takeover through. Arb is takeover only. The former - the scope is the whole process. Arb - separation of KSA-PIF only to satisfy rule A of the handbook. The PL do not want CAT because of what will come out. If Ashley wins he will receive full value of lost income plus potentially the takeover. In other words, potentially £700 million but more likely the value of the takeover/ takeover. He won't get both. Arb - even if the PL loses the facts remain private. But since it concerns separation only its not as damaging. CAT has the potential to open the floodgates in respect of other clubs who feel harshly treated.
If the CAT isn't thrown out summarily then it means there is a case to answer. PL attempts to get it thrown out on the technicality will be inconsequential. CAT only accepts cases that have a reasonable prospect of success. Arb is obviously different. It is a lottery like any case and both sides will be confident.
Only a few days ago you were all saying it was done off the back of Ashley being 'certain' it would go through. So I'm asking you a perfectly straight forward question. Why if Mike ashley was certain the club was sold are nufc performing a shock u turn on the release of Andy Carroll at the very same time the premier league were due to release their evidence?
There is zero correlation between Andy Carroll re-signing and an ongoing legal dispute. The business has to function. If the club can re-sign a player cheaply they will. It is pay as you play.
You're not giving an answer or explanation to what I asked mate So why the U turn? You understand he was released? The idea the business has to run in this scenario doesn't wash at all.
