Minamino was great at Salzburg. If he could settle and get a regular run of games, he may turn out to be a really decent signing. But it also depends on fee as others have said. His loan spell with us probably hasn't increased his value.
Not been impressed with Minanino while on loan. However Walker-Peters barely featured for the first few months and took a while to integrate.
I did hear a rumour that they were about to sign a new tea lady? The only stumbling block is the current wage level apparently. Should get it across the line though. She's pretty impressed with the shopping possibilities in Southampton.
Personally I quite understand the reservations about Minanino, he's not lit the pitch up as perhaps we were hoping for. But he's young, Ralph likes him as a player and just maybe there's a player there we just might take a big liking to when he and those around him are playing with more confidence. I'd give him a chance still.
Not only that, but it's unsettling the chances of signing that tea lady, who doesn't like the thought of all those ceremonies.
Even on a free I don’t think I’d take Minamino, he’s proven to me he isn’t up to the prem and I’d rather we went a different direction.
I’d also add that our wingers/attacking midfielders weren’t great last year and there was a lot of talk about that on here. By locking in our two loanees permanently taking up squad space in that area it limits brining in fresh blood to that group and likely means we will be poor in that area again
Generally, he seemed to make very little impact on games. I feel we carry Redmond at the moment and am concerned we will end up with two of the same. I think a tea lady is a must, but one who thinks Southampton is good for shopping is a little worrying.
