Think that's more to do with those whose contracts have expired rather than being let go........

The one that made me chuckle was Mr & Mrs Gonzalez Quintero decided to call their son Kevin........<laugh>

I also see that Norwich have laid out what their plans are for next season by agreeing to sell their best player Buendia to Villa for around £30m, looks like a case of stashing the cash and hope for the best, but makes relegation a bit more likely......

Disappointing, we must have offered a really cack deal. I think he's decent but with his recent injury and lack of game time before coming to us I wonder what he can really expect elsewhere.

He is decent and has always done his best. Butge us falling down the pecking order

We have Amos, Field, Thomas, Chair, Willock, Ball.. possibly Johansen and possibly Dozzell.... Bettache and Duke McKenna coming through...

Not sure he would get much game time....and he needs it now

    Probably the right decision

It’s not a disaster for us. though I’m surprised he didn’t take the opportunity to contribute to a good run and raise his stock value. At the moment he’s a sicknote with average game time. Not exactly high appeal for other clubs right now after the last year.
We’ll move on and fill the gap.

Still a long way to go on the Johansen deal according to Dave Mac. Fulham want to recoup the 2.5m they paid for him, having a laugh aren't they? He only has a year left and they've dumped him twice already.

I've never really seen what he bought to the team. He seems injured a lot, hasn't any assists or goals. His first team appearances ( 187 ) in an eleven year old or so career is pretty shabby. Good riddance I say.

It is hard to put a finger on the problem... He became first choice last season after Amos got injured in September. And played okay...and if you remember...it was all very frustrating as the team was also playing okay but slowly and surely plummeting down the table . There was no confidence, we were not scoring, we conceded silly goals and then he got injured...and the board had to act by getting in a couple of midfielders...and the rest is history.

He was at the core of our poor first half of the season. He did nothing wrong, always tried, worked hard was always tidy...but he could not provide the spark that ignited the team but Johansen immediately did.

I think Carroll played well last season until he got his injury, a good passer of the ball and linked play well from defense to attack. Not as good as Johansen in other parts of the game, but I think he would be good back up for Johansen (if we can secure Mr J) if he could stay fit, but maybe he thinks he can get more game time and a better deal somewhere else. From the article in WLS I understood talks are still going on, so his departure doesn't look definite yet.

I'm highly sceptical of 'ITK' accounts on social media, but David Mc, who tends to get things right, has flagged that this account has been accurate to date. One to keep an eye on perhaps, with due caution.

That ITK chap seems to suggest Johansen is only interested in a QPR deal but Fulham are trying to open the door for other offers.

Guess that would make sense on both sides. They will want as much ££ as possible and he wants to enjoy his football and not uproot his family.

Spot on. I don't think others are giving him the credit he deserves: after he effectively replaced Amos, he was pulling all the strings in a poor-ish team. Whilst Johnansen was a quantum leap up, I'd still want Carroll in the squad, if the wages were sensible.

The only times we had anything resembling form in the first half of the season was when Carroll was playing consistently.

Probably offered a pay for play deal which would make sense given his injury record. Liked him, but suspect he'll not be consistent starter. Someone out there will take a chance on him

I have a feeling we're going to get some transfer news from the club today. That's based on nothing. Just a feeling.
