It doesn't make ferguson a tactical genius, it merely demonstrates that he is able to make the same kind of decisions that any football manager does. BTW I'm very happy with the progress Liverpool are making. All we need to do is stop being so profligate in front of goal.
Dunno how many other managers could turn a defeat into a draw by dropping five or six first choice players to be honest. I agree with that 100%. But with Kuyt seeming to have lost his shooting boots, Carroll still not firing and Suarez being very profligate that could be a big problem in tougher games.

Got it in one traore Alternatively he know Liverpool would waste chances if they were forced to snatch at them when facing a well set up defensive line or take long shots. But they would probably take them if they were able to counter attack, run at a line that wasn't properly set or get men free in and around the box.
1 Point better off than last season's result so not bad tactics if you ask me. As the home team Liverpool should have took the initiative more.
