Just got back from the game.It looked like Ferdi shudda bin sent off for the tackle on Adam , as he was thru on goal, wahat did it look like on the box
A pathetic dive by Adam. To be fair though its probably because it was a pathetic dive by Adam. He should of seen red today for 2 dives in the second half. Mind even that wasnt as bad as Downings dive though, dear lord that was hilarious.
This is clearly an alternative view. Rio and all the pundits clearly said he clipped him. Adam made a meal of it, but it was a foul. The biggest embarrassment today was Evra for his card-waving, general hand-bag behaviour, and refusing to shake Suarez's hand. Pathetic behaviour from a captain to be honest.
I believe Ferdinand has admitted it was a foul, on the radio, if it was a foul, surely it was a staright red as he was through on goal, how did he get away with not even getting a yellow, when even the United player admits it was a foul???
Rio said he touched him Has he said adam dived and the ref bottled it he would of been banned. Dont read anything into his comment. His reaction at the time was the one to look at. He clearly stated adam dived to both the ref and adam and all charlie did was give a knowing smirk as if to say, yeh, and what. Sky, evra is like that at times but to be fair he was correct about downing. He should of been booked. Diving will never go away unless it starts happening.
He was already on a yellow so officially it should of at least been another yellow. But I'm not one to get into the if's and but's...
I agree that was a dive. But when Suarez did the old card-waving you lot were proper on our backs for ages. I couldn't care less to be honest I just feel a captain should set an example and not make a tit out of himself.
He shouldnt need to wave cards as the ref should be in control. The ref didnt fill me with confidence today. he missed dives from both sides and didnt seem interesting in nipping anything in the bud. Needed a bigger ref for this game but saying that, they are all **** so wouldnt of made much difference.
The problem lies in the inconsistency of ref's so players are trying more and more to push the boundaries. Consistency is **** anyway - it takes the unpredictability out of the game
English refs have been going backwards though for a while now. they get worse every game and its almost impossible to have a match where they dont **** up.
First of all Charlie Adam didn't dive, he was tripped, therefore the already booked Rio Ferdinand should rightly have been sent off. I made this point perfectly clear that unless Jose Enrique has arms on his chest, that was never a hand-ball. Evans on the other-hand did strike his hand.
